Longest possible chess game
It lasts 2*8849-1 = 17697 halfmoves according to Tom Murphy's
Is this the longest Chess game?,
which observes FIDE's article 9.6.2, or 75 move rule.
Using the older 50 move rule, the longest game lasts 5898 moves according to
www.chesschat.org and www.chess.com,
the latter including a video of all 5898 moves being played.
